Our Mission
keyboard-arabic.org was built with a single goal: make it effortless for anyone, anywhere in the world to type in Arabic — for free, with no account or download required. Whether you’re a student learning Arabic for the first time, a translator working on a deadline, or someone who just wants to send a message in their native language, we’re here to help.
Why We Built This
Arabic is spoken by over 400 million people as a first language and is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Yet for millions of people, typing Arabic online remains needlessly complicated — requiring specific keyboard settings, OS configurations, or paid software. We saw a gap and decided to fill it.
Our virtual keyboard runs entirely in your browser. There’s nothing to install, nothing to configure, and nothing sent to any server. Your text stays on your device, always.
What We Offer
- Full Arabic alphabet — all 28 letters plus hamza, alef madda, ta marbuta, and more
- Tashkeel (diacritics) — fatha, kasra, damma, sukun, shadda, and tanwin for full vocalization
- Arabic-Indic numerals — the traditional numeral set used across the Arab world
- Physical keyboard support — type fast using the QWERTY → Arabic mapping shown on each key
- Copy & download — get your text into any app instantly
- Dark mode — easy on the eyes, day or night
Privacy First
We take privacy seriously. All text processing happens locally in your browser through JavaScript — your typed content never touches our servers. We use Google Analytics (anonymized) to understand how visitors use the site, and we show non-intrusive ads to keep the service free. That’s it.
